The gradual installation of the free WiFi and the closed-circuit television (CCTV) in the school bus conducted by Jakarta Provincial Government gets positive response from Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Commission E. The council also hopes it could be done in all school buildings in the capital.

"We also hope it could also be applied in schools, thus the parents can easily monitor their children outside and inside the school," expressed Ramly HI Muhammad, Vice Chairman of Jakarta DPRD Commission E, Tuesday (4/25).
Two School Buses Equipped With WiFi and CCTVAccording to him, it will have a positive impact for the public, especially the parents. They can make sure their children when they go to and arrive at school.
By doing so, it is hoped students could switch to the school bus than going to school using private vehicle.
As known, Jakarta Transportation Dept.'s School Transport Management Unit (Upas) plans to install free WiFi and CCTV for 140 school buses. In trial stage, they have been applied to two buses.
